As an Ililliew Cree from Moose Cree First Nation on Treaty 9 territory, Candace's unwavering dedication to her community is rooted in a legacy of a trailblazing Chief and Treaty signatory. Breaking glass ceilings is in her veins, and she is a fierce advocate for Indigenous Women, Girls, Two Spirit, Transgender, and Gender Diverse (WG2STGD) People.
Candace's social media platform, Relentless Indigenous Woman, has grown exponentially to over 700,000 followers. She fearlessly tackles issues caused by patriarchy, white supremacy, capitalism, colonization, and racism, and their devastating impacts on Indigenous communities. For Candace, these discussions are not just necessary - they are essential for achieving true justice, reconciliation, decolonization, and Indigenous resurgence.
Candace's expertise in Indigenous education, advocacy, and feminism consulting is unmatched, and she has helped countless organizations and individuals understand and incorporate the Ancestral Ways of Knowing and Being. As a Ph.D. candidate specializing in educational leadership, Candace is at the forefront of creating safe and inclusive learning spaces for Indigenous 2SLGBTQ+ students.
